City Council Names Shigley as City Manager

After a long and extensive search, the City of American Canyon named Dana Shigley to replace current City Manager Rich Ramirez who is retiring later this year. 

Shigley has served the City of Anderson for 11 years in various capacities including Finance Director, Grants Manager, Redevelopment Agency Executive Director and Assistant City Manager before becoming City Manager.  She is expected to end the year in her current position and will start her new duties in American Canyon on January 2, 2012.

Shigley said "I am honored that the American Canyon City Council has selected me to be their next City Manager.  My husband and I are absolutely delighted with the chance to serve this wonderful, growing community in Napa County."

Susan Lane, chamber president, served on the City Manager Community Panel as part of the hiring process and is pleased with the City's decision.  "Dana will bring with her great qualities and experience that will certainly benefit the local business community.  We look forward to a positive working relationship with Dana and wish her much success."
